Technicians working at height on a rooftop secured by a Mtandt horizontal lifeline system
The absolute one-stop destination

Everything it takes to work at height — safely.

Since 1974, Mtandt has put India's workforce where the job is: fifty metres up, under a bridge deck, across soft ground. Machines, systems, training and service — from one accountable partner.

Who we are

One partner. Seven business units. Zero gaps in your safety chain.

Most suppliers sell you a machine and disappear. Mtandt was built the other way round — we own the whole chain, so nothing falls between vendors.

We manufacture, import, rent, retrofit, certify and train. That means the boom lift on your site, the harness the operator wears, the lifeline he clips into, the certificate in his pocket and the technician who services it every quarter can all come from us — under one contract and one point of accountability.

  • First time right — five decades of site experience behind every specification.
  • Value for money — the scale of a national fleet, priced for your project.
  • Always within reach — pan-India presence with global partnerships.

Beyond the machine

Services that keep the asset earning

Equipment is the easy part. Uptime, competence and compliance are what actually finish the job.

All Services

Training & Certification

Work-at-height, MEWP operator, rescue and GWO basic safety programmes delivered by an ISO and NSDC-certified academy.

Equipment Rental

Daily, monthly and long-term hire from a nationally distributed fleet, with mobilisation, operators and AMC bundled in.

Service & Asset Management

Yard services, scheduled maintenance, repairs, retrofits and remote telematics for fleets — ours or yours.

Industrial Rope Access

IRATA-aligned onshore and offshore inspection, survey, maintenance and repair where no platform can reach.

Fall Protection Design

Site survey, engineered lifeline layout, installation and annual re-certification of permanent safety systems.

Skilled Manpower

Certified operators, riggers and supervisors deployed to your site so the machine never waits for a licence.

How we work

From site problem to certified solution

Understand the reach

Working height, outreach, floor loading, access route, power and duration. We spec from the constraint, not the catalogue.

Match the machine

Buy or rent, electric or diesel, wheeled or tracked. You get the smallest safe answer, with the commercial case attached.

Mobilise & certify

Delivery, on-site familiarisation, operator certification and test documentation handed over before the first lift.

Support the run

Scheduled service, telematics, spares and a field engineer on call for as long as the asset is on your site.

Fifty years of repeat customers

Working with Shapoorji Pallonji, L&T, ITC, ABB India, Hitachi Energy, Grindwell Norton and thousands more.

“We needed 32-metre reach inside a live plant with a 3-tonne floor limit. Mtandt walked the site, ruled out the obvious machine and put a spider lift through a roller shutter. That is the difference experience makes.”

Project ManagerInfrastructure EPC, Western India

“The lifeline system was designed, installed and certified in one mobilisation, and our operators were trained the same week. Our audit closed without a single observation on work at height.”

EHS HeadProcess Manufacturing

“Eleven machines on long-term hire across three sites, all on one contract with telematics we can actually see. Downtime is now measured in hours, not weeks.”

Questions

Before you raise a requisition

If the machine will be utilised more than roughly 60–70% of the year across your sites, ownership usually wins on total cost. Below that, rental almost always does — you avoid capital lock-up, annual certification, idle-period maintenance and resale risk. We will run the comparison honestly for your utilisation profile, because we do both and have no incentive to push either.

Yes. You can hire a machine bare, with a certified operator, or with a full crew including a supervisor. Every operator we deploy holds a current MEWP competency certificate issued by our own ISO and NSDC-certified training arm, and carries the machine-specific familiarisation record for the exact model on your site.

Standard categories — electric scissors, articulating booms, aluminium towers — typically mobilise within 24 to 72 hours anywhere in India, depending on the nearest yard. Specialist assets such as large spider lifts, under-deck platforms or engineered lifeline systems need a site survey first and are usually planned over one to three weeks.

That is one of our core capabilities. We survey the structure, engineer the anchor and lifeline layout against the applicable standard, install it, load-test it and hand over the certification. We then re-inspect and re-certify annually, so the system stays legally valid rather than quietly expiring between audits.

Yes. Our asset management arm takes on mixed and third-party fleets — yard services, scheduled maintenance, breakdown repair, retrofitting and telematics installation. Many customers start with a service contract on their own machines and only later move their hire and purchases across.

Work-at-height awareness, MEWP operator competency across boom, scissor and vertical categories, rescue and recovery, supervisor programmes, industrial rope access, and GWO Basic Safety Training for the wind sector. Courses run at our centres or on your site, and each ends in an assessed certification rather than an attendance slip.

Tell us how high you need to go.

Send us the working height, the ground condition and the duration. You will get a specification, a price and an availability date — usually the same working day.
